Distance in the nostalgia
adds salt
to our Earthen plot

smoke rises
ancient as the wind
that bares its tell-tale tragedy...

darkness has mingled with
the light & shed its shadow
of calamity

in the nuance
of the nevermore laborious
forever sore from a pre-ancient war,

mars' moon has been destroyed,
and with it went its oceans and its
tides, lost forever into the
sea of galaxies,

and Phobos, Deimos,
are all that remains,

except perhaps some
pre-ancient Martian artefact,
half buried in the Martian dust,

to tell how
the Martian Moon, & Martian Seas,
were lost.
