A letter of outrage to the South African ANC 'government'

The Sunday Times of South Africa, carried two half page adverts on behalf of the South African ANC parliament on August 27 2006, asking for designs for a new emblem for the country. The advert states that the taxpayer is going to supply a 'workshop' with all expenses paid for no less than 20 designers to travel to parliament for what amounts to a multi million rand coloring in competition.

I am more ashamed at this banal idiocy than I am at my people having implemented apartheid. I voted for these fools in 1994 to get rid of the last fools. And now we have to find another government. Now we have to have another revolution as this government has just about reached the same levels of SHEER STUPIDITY that the last one did. Does anybody even know or care about a stupid emblem?

This country is drowning in rape, theft, unemployment, child rape, disease, murder and the courts are even more corrupt and inept than during the idiocy of apartheid. But we can afford for 20 overgrown children to be flown around the country for a Kufcing coloring-in competition? Why not get another flag while you are about it? Perhaps each province can get a new set of number plates? Or how about awarding honorary degrees to people whose idea of nation building is just theft?

The history of the world is littered with governments that have failed to even remotely deliver on their mandate. The ANC will just be another failed social experiment within 10 years. I can only urge those within the liberation movement who have not been lost to corruption to make a final floor-crossing to the only political party that has a chance of saving the non-racist real revolution epitomized by the UDF. The Christian democrats have a 2000 year history of taking a moral stand against theft, murder and corruption. The ACDP is the only political party in South Africa that can openly hold its head up high, and who have a policy against racism that goes back beyond the time of Moses. Moses' wife was a black woman from the Sudan, who suffered from discrimination. Moses' people were corrupt, so ten commandments were given to be obeyed. That was many thousands of years ago, and our leaders are still godless thieves, murderers and adulterers. When are we going to grow up and act like responsible adults? When are we going to use common sense as our yardstick instead of gross materialism?

All expenses paid for 20 people to design a new emblem while millions have to use a bucket to go to the toilet?

YOU have betrayed the revolution, comrade. You may as well put Madiba back in prison, because after the rot of your corruption has spoiled this country, the next Madiba will have to spend 54 years begging for equality.

I am not one of those people who complain about aids, as there is no cure, so beetroot is as good as a walk on the beach. During the 90's I knew 5 people that were HIV positive. 2 committed suicide. 2 took ARV's and died within a year. The other one is a marijuana dealer and is still alive more than 10 years later.

I am not one of those people who ever supported the White Nats. I risked my life by refusing to serve in the SADF. I even threatened to execute anyone who tried to force me into the Nazi military. I risked my life to fight against stupid governments. And now this government, if it takes one more false step, will effectively have negated all the good work of the past.

It really annoys me when blacks act like they were the only ones fighting against apartheid. It annoys me that a black man with a post graduate degree told me that I was a traitor to my people for fighting for the liberation of this country. It annoys me when I have suffered so much, so that the children I fought for, sneer racist remarks at me for my white skin. It annoys me that I was beaten and attacked for being against the old system. And now the young black man that I was fighting for points a gun in my face and takes my phone and wallet. But what annoys me the most, is that this government thinks that the cost of a 'workshop' for 20 people to design a new emblem, a multi-million rand coloring-in competition is the type of solution that will stop rape, murder, theft, and racism.

Because when this government goes the way of Zimbabwe, the only result will be racism on a scale never seen before. There will be no hope for equality. As the last cadres cling to power and corruption, the only solution will be violence. Look at the history of the world. Read the Bible and you will realize that the old testament is a history book full of corrupt liberators, corrupt leaders, and foolish kings, drunk on their own power. Even the best Kings made awful mistakes. All died in violence and embarrassment and shame.

The French revolution has taught Africa nothing. Sing 'Viva' all you want. Giving cake to the masses would be better even than a multi-million rand coloring-in competition.

The ANC are fools, and I am just as big a fool for believing you. I voted for you in 1994. But as the slogan goes: Never again.

The closest that we will get to a renaissance, is Emperor Nero.

The masses of unemployed are growing faster than job growth, faster that can be maintained by the country with the most natural resources in the world. Affirmative action has helped to a point, but now it is moving us backward as it is seen as a right, not a desperate means to a difficult end. I have always argued that affirmative action was necessary. Affirmative action should be increased as far as education and skills are concerned there cannot be enough compensation.

But all it does in the work place is affirm the fallacy that blacks cannot do the job on merit. It entrenches racial stereotyping, chases away skilled foreigners, and draws such a bleak future for whites, that we cannot be expected to work towards a future that excludes us.

And the government tells us if we don't like it, "then go elsewhere."

Actually we do like it, here. Its you that will be going elsewhere. Now I know why the Matabele were chased all the way to Zimbabwe. History repeats itself.

I can only pray to God that my message has been heard and adhered to. I would like it if in 2010 I can say. "Look at what wonderful job, our government has done". But most likely I will say:

"Look at how foolish the Black Nats are. They have copied the White Nats. They wear the same overpriced suits, drive the same overpriced cars, and follow the same overpriced racist policies that entrench incompetent cronies."

How did you think that Black Nationalism would be any different from White Nationalism? Did you know that the word 'Nazi' derives from the 'Nasionale'? German for Nationalism. Did you know that the ANC are therefore in fact not only Nats, but Nazis too?

You may as well bring back the old flag. Nothing has changed. Perhaps you can swap the colors around. Put the color that was at the top at the bottom and vice versa. Do what you like. But your time is running out. Rename what you like. Invent 100 wonderful emblems and flags. They will be laughed at with derison and scorn when the infrastructure crumbles. You can have sweet memories of Azania in your new home next door to the Matabele in Zimbabwe. And the worst of all of this is that you will have proven that the Boneheads were not so boneheaded after all. And that will be the biggest shame of all.

God bless Africa.
